I chose to live in Grapevine exactly 25 miles to either downtown Dallas or Fort Worth and same or less to Plano, Frisco, or The Colony
Doinf downtown fort worth this year and will do downtown Dallas next year and see which one I like more. I've done Las colinas and Mansfield but I'm ready to go to the real city
If you like polluted humid air and crime… Dallas is definitely the place for you. There are only a few places in Dallas or Fort Worth that I'd consider visit worthy. I used to live near Dallas and found it a criminal cesspool/ rich narcissistic area. Human trafficking of children is out of control there. They have covered over most of the natural wildlife habit making it difficult for animals or humans to enjoy. I don't miss Texas at all. My husband lived there for 20 years and hated it.
The nicest people in the world live in Dallas!
I think I prefer Ft. Worth, I prefer the vibe and it's generally cheaper apart from healthcare. Another commenter said you could go to downtown Dallas 30 minutes away as well.

If you’re looking for affordability and more native Texans and you’re married with children, go for the Fort Worth side. If you’re single and have money, go for the Dallas side.
