Cowboy Paintings (Texas Country Reporter)
You know for some folks that cowboy is merely a character in the movies an ode to the old west and a symbol of an era that’s long gone but here in texas for a few people a wide brimmed hat and a dusty pair of boots isn’t
Part of a costume it’s a part of an image of everyday life But it’s the lifestyle and the way of life it’s the best life that you can have to raise up children and everything the work ethic do something that amounts to something not just shuffling papers and a rancher and farmer have to be environmental because that they depend on the land my
Heart goes out to farmers and ranchers they’re the backbone of this country for wayne bayes simply appreciating the western way of life wasn’t enough so he started capturing moments little glimpses of life most people will never truly know and painting them onto canvas i started out mostly with pencil
Drawings and then went to colored pencil i still got a lot of colored pencils and still do some every once in a while but let them start doing more oil painting i don’t think there’s anything beautiful than a horse moving or being working working yeah and just you know the action and
Movement it’s good art should have some emotion to it i mean like there’s something going on that people can relate to open space and activities that go on with the cowboy when i was growing up everybody would grow up and be a cowboy and i wish it was that way now
Well everyone may not want to be a cowboy these days but thanks to wayne they can at least see what it’s like his art hangs in galleries and shows across the country and he’s even part of the most prestigious association of western artists in the nation the cowboy artist
Of america what does it mean to you to be amongst all of us it’s like an honor and to be associated with that type of people i mean they’re some of the better artists or some of the nicest people that you can find despite wayne’s success he’s kept himself grounded
In his mission crystal clear to create fantastic works of art for not just farmers and ranchers but for anyone who appreciates this life as much as he does i like the romance of it i i appreciate that and i i i think there is a romance in it it’s
Not just an eight to five job i’m sure appreciate the ones that enjoy the work and put their heart into it it could be that some the day comes where your paintings these sculptures are all that’s left of that lifestyle memories think there’ll always be people that want to work with livestock
And are willing to make the sacrifices in their life so they can live that lifestyle it’s worthwhile he’s doing something that amounts to something that’s beneficial to other people it just gives you a reason to enjoy surroundings and nature and all that it’s been said that on the eighth day
God looked down on his planned paradise and said he needed a caretaker someone who could seed weed feed breed plow plant and finish a 40-hour week by tuesday and although most people will reap the benefits of this life that they will never know wayne bays hopes his artwork will change that
And with every picture he paints he’s showing that hard-working cowboys live right here in texas n.c wyatt you know the illustrator he said if you’re painting somebody shoveling snow when you get through your back ought to hate just as much as his did can you feel that yeah i can feel him
Standing and kind of standing these disturbs i know i know what he’s trying to do and why he’s trying to do it and how he feels yeah yeah how long will you do this as long as it can i say i don’t see any i may not produce as much but i’ll
Try to produce better as long as you can hold a brush yes or keep it steady yes sir yes sir kind of like riding a horse yeah so as long as i stay home i love that story me too and we’ve got plenty more where that came from

Dearest Folks. Your videos continue to be an inspiration to me & my husband. Your ability to captivate and share such incredible testimonies of the lives and successes of fellow Texans is quite commendable. We not only praise you for it we thank you. A famous person once said” He who has the most hope has the most influence!” In so many respects, your channel does just that. People here and abroad are being positively influenced and motivated by the stories! Whether it be those who have not had the confidence to follow a dream….or those who have failed trying, inspiration and hope are birthed as a result of watching!
We pray that you continue to travel this great state of Texas, bringing Hope Happiness and Heart to us all!
Sincerely,
Lisa & Randy
Very nice art. Wouldn’t mind owning a piece if I could afford it and had a place to put it.
It's good to find a fellow oil artist, who paints action. I have been at it 50+ years, but paint only landscapes; no structures, no critters. Closet I come is the shadow of a trout. My passion is trees and moving water, with still, reflecting pools and submerged shadows.
Beautiful! 💖
